Bar Mitzvah at the Western Wall in Jerusalem
June 26, 1984
Abstract
The bar mitzvah is a ceremony in which a thirteen-year-old boy accepts his share of Jewish responsibility. To Max Fisher, it was better late than never. Growing up in the Christian community of Salem, Ohio, Max Fisher was bar mitzvahed at the age of 76 in what he described as "the most fortunate day of my life."
