(RNC clip) "Whatever our role as parent or policy maker, we must act as eloquently as we speak, else we have no integrity." My father allowed me to use him to get to the Republican Party. And I think that he was probably a little anxious about it, but I remember that night in Houston where I could look over into the Presidential Box and I could see the President and Mrs. Ford and my mom and my dad. I could see them, and there’s a picture of him and he’s teary—I don’t know, I’ve never seen my father cry—and I know he was touched and I know he was proud.
