Abstract
In 1967, Israel launched a surpise bombing campaign against Egyptian airfields. After a series of stunning victories, Israeli forces captured control of the Gaza Strip and Sinai Peninsula from Egypt, along with the West Bank and East Jerusalem from Jordan and the Golan Heights from Syria.
