While visiting Dayan's house, the defense minister noticed Fisher admiring a beer jug that dated back to 1200 B.C. Dayan gave the jug to Fisher in thanks for securing the Phantom jets for Israel. Fisher replied: "The jets had already been promised. It was only a matter of getting them through the bureaucracy. I just helped move things along faster."
